Pretending to feel good can actually make you feel great!
Ever had one of those days when you wake up and feel lousy. You struggle to get up, you feel in a bad mood and you can already tell that today is not going to be a good day. This is a self-fulfilling prophecy! If you believe that you are going to have a bad day then you will.
There have been studies that show that a positive outlook actually results in people having better health, happier lives and more success. Do not accept that if you are in a bad mood then that is it for the day…. there is a trick to completely changing this outlook.
Believe it or not you can actually pretend your way to a better mood! When you feel the blue funk stealing over you then you need to fool your own mind and pretend to be in a good mood! That’s right – pretend. This may seem silly but you will be surprised at just how easy this is and how quickly your mood will change! Just put on a brave face and pretend you are having a great day, smile and be cheerful, before you know it you will actually be in a good mood and will not even be trying to be happier – you will be happier!
